Giving USA: The Annual Report on Philanthropy, a publication of Giving USA Foundation™, researched and written by the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, has released a free “high-lights” version of the comprehensive 2012 charitable giving report.

An estimated amount of $316.23 billion was donated to charitable causes by Americans in 2012, which is a 3.5 percent increase from 2011 (1.5% adjusted for inflation).
